YOUTH EMPOWERMENT GRANTS PROGRAM OPEN

The Youth Empowerment Grants program seeks to address the root causes of youth crime, whilst diverting young people away from the criminal justice system and towards contributing to their communities. Grants range from $300,000 to $1 million.

Eligible activities include:

Awareness campaigns and programs to prevent criminal and anti-social behaviours
Healthy decision making to foster positive connections to community
Workforce preparation and vocational skills development
Youth justice conferencing

This program is part of the Australian Government’s commitment to strengthening community safety and providing alternative pathways for young people who are at risk of engaging in criminal and anti-social behaviour.
