This exciting national competition is open to year 10, 11 and 12 students attending secondary schools in the Electorate of Pearce.
This competition will provide the opportunity for a student from each year group to be flown to Canberra with a parent or guardian to present their speeches live and undertake a program at Parliament House.
This national competition challenges students in years 10, 11 and 12 to envision themselves as newly elected Members of the House of Representatives and write a 90-second speech, focusing on a topic of their choosing.
A website has been established for the competition at: mfs.houseofrepresentatives.gov.au
Entries for the competition close at 11.59pm AEST on Monday 15th September 2025.
This competition is a wonderful way for our next generation of community leaders to have a say in our national parliament. I hope you can promote this to students at your school.
