PROVIDER IDENTIFIED FOR THE YANCHEP MEDICARE URGENT CARE CLINIC
The Albanese Government is pleased to announce the location for the new Yanchep Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) following a competitive tender process led by the WA Primary Health Alliance.
The Lagoon Medical Centre, has been identified as the successful provider to operate the Yanchep Medicare Urgent Care Clinic which will be located at 15 Ikara Lane Yanchep.
The clinic will be open seven days a week operating extended hours. The new clinic will begin delivering urgent care for the community over coming months.
The clinic will help to ease pressure on the Joondalup Hospital emergency department, where around 34 per cent of presentations in 2024-25 were for semi-urgent or non-urgent conditions.
The Yanchep Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will join the existing network of 11 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics across Western Australia.
118 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are in operation across Australia, which have already seen more than 2.4 million presentations since the first sites opened in June 2023. This includes over 260,500 presentations to the existing Western Australia Medicare Urgent Care Clinics.

Quotes attributable to Member for Pearce, Tracey Roberts MP:
"This is fantastic news for Yanchep, Two Rocks and the growing northern corridor of the Pearce electorate. I've been fighting hard for this clinic because I know how desperately residents need accessible, bulk billed healthcare close to home. Today's announcement shows that when we advocate loudly for our community, we get results.
"A Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Yanchep is very important for local families. Taking pressure off the Joondalup Hospital emergency department for urgent care needs like burns, cuts, or broken bones. No out-of-pocket costs. Just quality healthcare, seven days a week, close to home.
"From championing and securing the Clarkson Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in 2023, to the ECU Health Centre Yanchep in 2024, and now delivering a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic for Yanchep – this is what Community First looks like in action. I'm proud to have fought for this alongside the community, and I won't stop advocating for accessible, bulk billed healthcare close to home."
